Just read with some sadness about the death of
Chris LeDoux from complications of liver cancer at the age of 56. He was a rodeo cowboy, a country singer, and all-around good guy who got a late start in the music business. In these days when rap artists are going to prison or getting shot, and aging rock stars (and not-so-aging rock stars) are ODing on whatever drug cocktail they're currently experimenting with, and pop star wannabes are "earning" fortunes by getting sluttier and not bothering to learn to lip-synch well, it's sad to hear that a regular guy who didn't try to impress anyone with anything but his songs and his talent had to be taken by something as hideous as cancer. Rest in peace, Chris.
