Bullets

  • Back to School commercials already?? (well, not so bad now, this post has been collecting dust for over a week)
  • I heard from a friend that they saw Halloween candy displays up already. I mean, really?
  • Big party coming up. Only 4 days before I leave. You'd think I'd start thinking about packing or something.
  • August will be another busy month. All those songs I had to write in June? I have to do the same for our gig at the end of this month.
  • Two different bands rehearsing on most weeknights now--my HNTs will have to auto-post for the next few weeks.
  • Symphony requires some staff meetings on the nights without rehearsals. I think August should be a "responsibilities-free" month.
  • Ten days from now I'll be attending my HS class' 35-year reunion. Yeah, I'm just that old.

I went back to school supply shopping on Friday. For an 8 and 10 yr old I spent approx $150. It wasn't like this when we were kids! And we had to walk to school, to and from uphill.

@JAG - in the snow! barefoot!

@Os - I am of the theory that in every Macy's there is a corner of Xmas stuff, which grows and grows so that by Nov 1st, it's taken over most of the floor.

Thanksgiving has become the 'forgotten holiday' - and personally, that's fine with me. I don't particularly enjoy that holiday. It it weren't for football, it would be unbearable.

I'm not ready for school yet...and I'm NOT ready for Halloween!

I agree - August should be responsibility free month!

I was so sad when I saw the first back to school commercials in mid-July.

Hobby Lobby has had their half-a-store Christmas display/stock out for at least a month now. *gag*
