There were four "biggies" this year. I started the week scraping the back of my leg on Friday afternoon. Caught on the edge of a riser. Not terribly deep, but it bled pretty well! The second was from Saturday night--a splinter in my pinkie. Sure, it doesn't look so bad, but it went deep, and I'm not totally sure I've gotten it all out.
The third would be the massively large bruise on my shin. I took a picture of it, but it hasn't really gotten the good color I'm hoping for yet. So my leg just looks like I haven't washed it in a week. So use your imagination.
The last injury, and the most painful, happened Saturday night. My work crew consisted primarily of high school and college theater students. God bless 'em...we couldn't do this without them. Hard and eager workers, but perhaps a bit too zealous. Even though we wanted to clear the stage quickly, they needed to be reined in at times. Slow down for safety's sake. And when you're being paid by the hour, let it string out for a bit! Anyway, while loading the equipment truck, one of these kids speared me in the back with the corner of something. It was dark and cramped, and I didn't take it out on him or anything, but I could immediately tell that this one was going to draw blood. And it did. So if you want to see my tramp stamp, click here. It actually looks worse now, but it looked pretty good a few nights ago when I took the picture. Proceed at your own risk, and I apologize in advance. Tony--don't click.
With all the work I had this past week, I spaced out lining up a Mystery Guest. So I made a couple of contacts, and had a couple of people step up to the plate!
This week's MG is celebrating an anniversary this week. One year since moving into her current flat alone. It was a big step for her, but has proven to be a liberating one. Allowing her to run around nekkid whenever she wants, and letting her work on her yoga and exercising whenever she feels like it. And occasionally taking a picture or two for our benefit! She'll be revealed Thursday afternoon, but stop by to say hi if you think you know who it is!
The MG this week is the lovely Cake. Be sure to stop by and congratulate her on her first year of independence!
I'm not sure why, but we've got both quality AND quantity for "...the Other HNT"! One can never complain about that! Be sure to stop by...there's something for everyone over there this week! And of course, it's NSFW.
BTExpress' pool party is just over 2 weeks away! If you live in the NYC area, or even a few hours away, you should come! Stop by his site to find out more info, or email me. Already some great people lined up to show!
That yoga master is stellar always!

ReplyDeleteWe're up. Happy hnt to all!
-d.
OW!!! I suspect that will leave a scar.
ReplyDeleteMagnesium Sulphate paste is good for splinters. Just put it on, cover it over and leave over night. It normally brings any nasties to the surface.
Im Up with a happy picture :)
I never imagined that being a musician was so hazardous. Better be healed by the party.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of party, we had pre-party yesterday & the day before. This one was G-rated, but I'm sure we can fix that for my party in 2-weeks.
I'm up with a few very yummy pictures from this weeks party.
A lot of owwies!!
ReplyDeleteMine is up :)
I do hope your wounds heal nicely. The leg cut looks pretty nasty.
